The Brewing Engineers Association is a body of practising engineering competence and expertise for the brewing industries run by the Members for the Members.
The aims of the Association are:

To promote best practice in the industry.

To promote and support engineering training for the industry.

To be a consultation and advisory body for relevant industry legislative and regulatory matters.

To provide challenge and mutual support to enable members to continually improve their effectiveness.

To provide a network for sharing information and experience.

To promote Association with other relevant organisations where appropriate.
- To remain independent of external commercial interests.
Members meet on a quarterly basis, normally but not exclusively, at a Member’s brewery, cidery or maltings.
The Brewing Engineers Association Annual Technical Day has been held every year since 1977 and is recognised as a highlight in the brewing industry calendar. This seminar takes place in Burton-on-Trent and each year has a theme from one of the Association’s six ongoing key areas of focus:
- Training and development
- Operations
- Health and safety
- Maintenance
- Environment
- Utilities
